Synopsis: Once upon a time, in a vast wood, lived a poor woodcutter and a poor woodcutter’s wife. The cold, hunger, misery and war all around them make their life very harsh. One day, the poor woodcutter’s wife finds a baby thrown from one of the many trains that constantly pass through their wood. This baby, protected at all costs, this precious little cargo will disrupt the life of this woman, her husband’s, and all those who will cross its path, right up to the man who threw it off the train. Their story will bring out the worst and best in people’s hearts.

Ժուկով-ժամանակով ընդարձակ անտառում ապրում էին մի խեղճ փայտահատ և նրա կինը։ Ցուրտը, սովը, շուրջը տիրող չքավորությունն ու պատերազմը շատ ծանր էին դարձնում նրանց կյանքը։ Մի օր խեղճ փայտահատի կինը գտնում է երեխայի, որին դուրս էին նետել անտառով անընդհատ անցնող գնացքներից մեկից։ Այս երեխան, որին պետք էր պաշտպանել ամեն գնով, այս թանկարժեք փոքրիկ բեռը պիտի գլխիվայր շուռ տա կնոջ, նրա ամուսնու և ճանապարհին հանդիպող բոլոր մարդկանց կյանքը՝ մինչև իսկ նրա, ով իրեն դուրս էր նետել գնացքից։ Այս պատմությունը ցույց է տալիս վատագույնն ու լավագույնը, որ կա մարդկանց սրտերում։
