AUA Digital Library of Armenian Literature Presents: Writers Who Perished in the Genocide
Digilib will present its new project: Writers Who Perished in the Genocide – digitization of volumes of literature in Western Armenian. The project was made possible thanks to generous support from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Digilib will also present the launch of its new and updated website www.digilib.am with newly-added tools.
AUA Armenian Digital Library was established in 1999 as a platform for a collection, digitization preservation, and presentation to worldwide audiences of some of the enormous wealth contained in the rich holdings of Armenian national repositories all over the world. The project emphasizes the importance of 21st-century digital tools in preserving and presenting Armenian written heritage and culture to the global audiences.
The event will be in Armenian with simultaneous translation
