Political Ideologies in the 21st Century
The Undergraduate Student Council of the American University of Armenia (AUA) is organizing a public lecture by Deputy in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. The lecture will take place on Thursday, March 10 at 5 p.m. in AUA’s Manoogian Hall
Mr. Pashinyan will speak about the popular forms of government in the 21st century and present the changes that the well-established models such as Democracy and Republic are currently going through. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session during which Mr. Pashinyan will answer questions related to Global Politics and Journalism. The working language of the lecture is Armenian.
Since 1992 Mr. Pashinyan worked for “Dprutyun”, “Lragir”, “Lragir or” and “Molorak” newspapers. In 1999 he became the chief editor of “Armenian Times” newspaper and has stayed at this position until 2012. In 2012 Mr. Pashinyan became Deputy in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. As Deputy he was active in a number of parliamentarian committees, including Committee of Foreign Relations, Local & Regional governance and Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. From 2012 September until 2013 February Mr. Pashinyan was the Chairman of Ethics Committee.
