Discussing Workforce Productivity and Preventing Corrupt Practices with Republic Union of Employers of Armenia President Dr. Makaryan
President of the Republic Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) Dr. Gagik Makaryan will present report findings on the main activities, development, and sustainable development regarding issues of enterprises from the perception of workforce productivity within the framework of the national qualifications. In addition, the mission to use education as a tool for preventing corrupt practices will be presented.
About the Speaker: Dr. Gagik Makaryan is a doctor of technical sciences, and is the chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia since July 2011. His areas of expertise are in small and medium entrepreneurship development. He also leads a “Hai Consult” Consulting Fund specialized in business consulting, and quality management systems since 1997.
Dr. Makaryan has published over 65 articles and publications on economic development issues. He has taken a leading role in the strategic design of national policies on youth employment, micro and small entrepreneurship, SME development, SME as a strategy for the return, reintegration and migration prevention, and capacity building for business productivity and competitiveness in Armenia.
Dr. Makaryan has directed various projects funded by the ILO, IOM, USAID, Eurasia Foundation, United Nations, Danish Refugee Council. He has led various projects on social-economic issues in Armenia and abroad, focusing on youth employment, restructuring of companies, export promotion, and women entrepreneurship development. He has been spoken in many conferences and workshops organized by UNDP, ILO, World Bank, USAID, RUEA, and the Eastern Partnership program. Has wide-ranging experience in working with companies in European and CIS countries.
